We want to help every child gain critical skills they need for life. We have started with numeracy and developed Trivela FC to help teachers engage and support children in maths.
The problem
Early maths failure becomes a lifelong sentence
On average a primary teacher has to teach a class of 30 children, all at different levels; it can be an impossible task. Once a child falls behind on number facts, they can't follow the lesson, stop taking part, and the gap widens, term after term, year after year.

Research shows maths anxiety can take hold as young as six or seven. By that age, many children have already absorbed the idea that you either "have a maths brain" or you don't. Steve Chinn, a leading researcher on dyscalculia, found that "many children are giving up on maths around the age of 7 years old."
The result is hard-wired by sixteen. In 2026, 29% of 16-year-olds in England, roughly 176,000 young people, failed to achieve a pass in GCSE maths. And the cost lasts a lifetime.
